Well, I was thinking about doing a Thor's Hammer in a pure knotwork style since a while. This one is thought to be carved in bone - lets see how much of the detail will be possible in a pendant of a reasonable size.
Tried to keep the knotwork as norse as possible and don't let it look too "celtic" like most of the contemporary Hammers unfortunately do...
The title is a tribute to my inspiration while working on this design - GRAND MAGUS new album "Hammer of the North" is certainly one of the best metal albums of the present - if not the best at all.
